Welcome to the Official Scooby Website!
For over 20 years, Scooby has been protecting animals in the Medina del Campo area of Spain. Thanks to international support, we are well known outside of Spain, educating people about the atrocities that Galgos (Spanish greyhounds) endure.

With Fermín Pérez as President of the organisation, and ambassador for the Galgos, Scooby grew into an international organisation and the largest animal shelter in Spain. Scooby is a safe haven for dogs, mainly Galgos, cats, donkeys, animals saved from factory farming and many other rescues, with the aim of taking action to improve animal welfare and find adoption homes for our pet animals.
This is all achieved by donors and volunteers from different countries, who made it possible to achieve what we accomplished so far, with limited funds. Even this website in 5 languages is completely created and donated by volunteers. Scooby is very grateful for the help we receive and we use every last resource for creating a safe and happy refuge for Galgos, as well as all dogs and animals.
Find out more about Scooby, how you can help and how to adopt one of our animals. Scooby depends on private donations; the more support we receive, the more positive action we can take.

Take a look at our wonderful mixes!
At the moment we have, in addition to all our galgos, more mixed-breed dogs in our shelters than ever before. This is a disastrous situation, because we can hardly find homes for such dogs. One reason for this could be that Scooby is well known as a rescue centre for galgos, but not necessarily for mixed breeds as well.
We still have a lot of the mixed-breed dogs we rescued from Seville. Although we knew it would be difficult to re-home them, we would not be a real animal welfare organisation if we had only taken the galgos out of Seville and left the others behind in atrocious conditions. We think you will agree!
We urgently need homes for our mixed-breed dogs.
